Adventure Outfitter – POSITIONS FILLED FOR 2025

Description
In this position you will be an Adventure Outfitter for the day-to-day general outpost duties such as assisting clients with rentals, or customer service in the retail room, keeping the Kingscote Outpost running smoothly, ensuring the spaces (including bathroom, and changerooms) are neat and clean, maintaining the merchandise, inventory, loss prevention and ensuring the rental gear is in top shape and generally representing the company day to day. Assisting with loading watercraft, deliveries and unloading watercraft. You will also have the opportunity to assist (or guide if you have the quals/experience) on day trips. The other team members will be asked to collaborate with you to ensure everything is covered.
Team training will be provided to get everyone familiar with the flow and systems we have put in place. Having standard or wilderness first aid training, paddling or other adventure certifications, safe food handling, DEI training, knowledge of Square, Trello, G Suite Apps etc is an asset, but we are happy to hire because you have integrity, initiative work ethic, a great attitude, great customer service, love the outdoors, and to train you for the skills you need
Number of positions still available: POSITIONS FILLED FOR 2025
Full or Part Time available (2-5 days/wk) – Jul/Aug with occasional days available spring & fall
$21 per hour – contract basis

Canoe/Kayak/SUP Guide
We are looking for a pool of canoe/kayak/stand up paddleboard/hiking guides for our awesome day trips on the York River into Algonquin Park! There will also be opportunities to guide or assist on multi-day trips as well.
Occasional/Contract Pool
21.00-25.00 per hour / 175.00-250.00 per diem for overnights
Remuneration based on experience, qualifications and level of responsibility required during contract.

Youth/School Group Program Delivery Pool
We are looking for Outdoor Education Team members to add to our Youth/School Group Program Delivery Pool. If you love teaching youth in the outdoors and would like to be contacted for occasional opportunities, please apply! VSS Required.
Year Round – Local and interprovincial. Travel and Accomodation provided for out of town opportunities
